Grittsville USA and Mr. Gent Announce Partnership
Chicago, IL – September 6, 2023 – Grittsville USA, a digital production company that infuses animation, music, and spoken word to amplify marginalized voices, today announced a partnership with Mr. Gent, a new men’s lifestyle & curiosities shop opening in the Chicagoland area late fall of 2023.
As part of the partnership, Grittsville USA will be the exclusive creative agency for Mr. Gent. This includes developing and producing all of the company’s marketing materials, including its first animated short, “The Evolution of the Tribe.”

The animated short shows how men from different backgrounds have come together to form a tribes. The film explores the themes of community, belonging, and self-acceptance.

The partnership between Grittsville USA and Mr. Gent is the beginning of a long-term collaboration. The two companies plan to work together on a variety of projects in the future.

The company was founded in 2020 by Daren J. Fleming in New York City. They are currently in the pre-production phase of their 8-part animated Black History series, “Ebony Footprints in the Sands of Time.
